Our Program

The Program at Great International School enables students to develop fundamental skills and competencies both in English and in Portuguese. Through these skills learners become critical thinkers who are able to share their knowledge, use creativity and social-emotional intelligence, work in teams, solve complex problems, among other competencies needed in the 21st century.

Great International School inspires its learners to reach academic and personal excellence through the learning and teaching methodology, through the support of technological tools, and through encouragement in a variety of areas, such as music, sports, research, and in entrepreneurial and social action.

Upon completing High School, Great International School graduates will be prepared to enter top universities in Brazil, the United States, Canada or any other place in the world.

The Curriculum

The school uses Fieldwork Education curriculum in Early Childhood Education, in Elementary School and in Middle School. It integrates the international curriculum with the Brazilian National Common Curriculum Standards (BNCC), offering interdisciplinary units of study, based on active pedagogies and a student-centered approach.

In the International Curriculum, English is an additional language, from Early Childhood to High School. It is developed through social and academic practices, which establishes the identity of the bilingual program.
